Nitto's engineers utilized 3D computer simulations to optimize the tread block arrangement, resulting in a mud-terrain tire that is significantly quieter than comparable tires, with a 34% reduction in noise at street speeds and 36% at highway speeds. The tire also incorporates reinforced shoulder grooves for improved off-road and all-season performance without sacrificing tread block stiffness, and deep center sipes to decrease hydroplaning and increase wet traction. For enhanced durability, the Trail Grappler features a 3-ply sidewall with a high turn-up construction, acting as an extra layer of reinforcement against punctures. The tire's proprietary, automated manufacturing system ensures extraordinary uniformity, leading to a smooth ride on paved roads. It also boasts efficient mud evacuation through a balanced void ratio, maintaining continuous off-road traction. The Trail Grappler offers dual sidewall designs, allowing owners to choose between stylized lettering with V-shaped sidewall lugs or traditional lettering with flat buttresses for personalized aesthetics.
