Oil Cooler and Auxiliary Radiator Delete Kit

The JHM Oil Cooler and Auxiliary Radiator Delete Kit is engineered to solve issues associated with the OEM air-to-water oil cooler on Audi 4.2L V8 engines, particularly in B6/B7 S4 and C5 allroad models. The factory auxiliary radiator can create excess heat that negatively impacts cold air intake performance, and its thermostat can fail, leading to incomplete coolant warm-up. This kit directly addresses these problems by deleting the auxiliary radiator and upgrading the oil cooling system. At its core, the kit features a custom, CNC-machined adapter plate that installs behind the alternator, replacing the stock water-cooled adapter. The kit includes all necessary components for installation, such as stainless braided hoses with AN fittings, an upgraded oil cooler with a mounting kit, and an improved power steering cooler. The provided oil cooler core measures 5" x 13" x 2" and is designed to maintain ideal oil temperatures even under demanding conditions, as demonstrated by testing in 90-degree F weather during open road racing where oil temperatures reached only about 250 degrees F. This kit is specifically designed to replace the discontinued auxiliary radiator thermostat (part number 8E0121055M) and the auxiliary radiator. This deletion is crucial as these thermostats are known to stick open, preventing the engine from reaching its intended operating temperature. The kit is also designed with future upgrades in mind, allowing for the installation of various oil cooler core sizes that can fit behind the bumper.
