Oil Cooler Guard

The Fall-Line Motorsports Oil Cooler Guard is engineered to safeguard the vulnerable factory oil cooler on BMW G8X M2, M3, and M4 models. Developed through a collaboration between IND and Fall-Line Motorsports, this guard addresses a key vulnerability in the S58 engine's otherwise robust cooling system. Fall-Line Motorsports prioritized maintaining the crucial airflow characteristics intended by BMW M engineers. Unlike some aftermarket guards that can restrict airflow through the oil cooler, this guard's design closely matches the opening size and shape of the OE oil cooler outlet. This ensures consistent airflow, preserving the cooling efficiency necessary for both street and demanding track use. The development process involved extensive motorsport testing and validation to confirm its performance. Installation involves mounting the guard directly to existing structural points on the chassis, distributing impact loads effectively. Installation hardware and templates for trimming the OE plastic belly pan are included. Note that this guard is not compatible with the CSF Oil Cooler (Part #8266).
