Oil Cooler Kit

The Improved Racing MHX Series Performance Oil Cooler Kit is engineered to provide extreme oil cooling for 2012-2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS and ZL1 models. This comprehensive kit replaces the factory water-to-oil cooler, leading to a reduction in peak oil temperatures by as much as 30-50°F. It is crucial for track applications and also enhances street performance by allowing the engine oil to reach its safe operating temperature more quickly, thanks to the integrated thermostatic oil cooler adapter (EGM-114). The kit includes a high-efficiency 45-row, triple-pass oil cooler, custom lightweight aluminum mounting brackets with rubber isolation, and professionally assembled -10AN oil lines. These lines feature a Viton rubber interior, stainless steel reinforcement to prevent kinking, and a silicone-fiberglass sleeve for protection against header heat. The oil cooler adapter is equipped with two sensor ports, suitable for aftermarket oil sensors or turbo supply lines. The thermostat is available in three temperature ratings: 180°F (recommended for street use and wet sump vehicles), 200°F, and 212°F (recommended for racing applications and dry-sump vehicles). The installation is a direct bolt-on process, requiring only minor cutting of the factory radiator shroud, with a laser-cut acrylic template and instructions provided for accuracy. This kit is compatible with the factory ZL1 heat exchanger but may not be compatible with some aftermarket heat exchangers. It is made in the USA and comes with a Lifetime Warranty.
