This kit is essential for Nissan 3.5 and 3.7-liter engines, which are known to run hot, especially the 3.7-liter variant that can enter a reduced power mode when oil temperatures become excessive. This kit utilizes a 19-row x 11.25-inch Setrab oil cooler core, a component recognized globally by top racing teams and used in OEM vehicles from Aston-Martin, Ferrari, and Lamborghini for its superior cooling efficiency. The integrated thermostatic bypass plate is crucial for preventing overcooling of the oil during colder conditions, ensuring optimal engine operation year-round. A note for installation: All kits featuring a Thermostatic Plate must use a Fram Oil Filter #PH3950 or an equivalent to ensure a proper seal.
