Oil Cooler Kit with Thermostat

The Improved Racing E5G-601 is a bolt-on performance oil cooler kit engineered to enhance the cooling capabilities for 2012-2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS and ZL1 models. This kit replaces the stock water-to-oil cooler, resulting in a substantial reduction in peak oil temperatures, potentially by 30-50°F, which is crucial for track use and maintaining engine longevity. Even for street driving, the integrated oil thermostat ensures faster engine warm-up and maintains optimal oil temperatures. The oil lines are professionally assembled, utilizing lightweight -10AN lines with a Viton rubber interior, stainless steel reinforcement to prevent kinking, and a protective silicone-fiberglass sleeve against header heat. The kit includes Improved Racing's MHX series 45-row, triple-pass oil cooler and the EGM-114 thermostatic oil cooler adapter, which precisely controls oil temperatures and accelerates engine warm-up. Custom lightweight aluminum, rubber-isolated mounting brackets are also provided. The oil cooler adapter includes two ports, suitable for aftermarket oil sensors or turbo supply lines. Installation involves a direct bolt-on process, with only minor cutting of the factory radiator shroud required, facilitated by a provided laser-cut acrylic template and instructions. The thermostat is available in three temperature ratings: 180°F for street use and wet sump vehicles, and 200°F or 212°F recommended for racing applications and dry-sump vehicles. The kit is made in the USA and backed by a Lifetime Warranty. It is compatible with the factory ZL1 heat exchanger but may not fit some aftermarket heat exchangers.
