The Mocal Thermostatted Adapter Plate offers a versatile solution for integrating remote oil cooler systems. This cast aluminum sandwich plate fits between the engine block and oil filter, featuring a universal design compatible with popular oil filter thread sizes. Its primary advantage is the integrated 180°F (82°C) thermostat, which intelligently bypasses the oil cooler until the oil reaches optimal operating temperature. This thermostatic control is crucial for efficient engine operation. By allowing the engine oil to warm up quickly, it ensures proper lubrication and prevents potential viscosity issues in cold weather. Once the target temperature is reached, the thermostat opens, directing oil flow to the cooler, thereby managing oil temperature during demanding conditions. The adapter plate is designed for optimal fitment and ease of installation, with 360-degree rotation capabilities around its inner extension screw. It includes two female M22 x 1.5 ports for connecting your oil cooler lines. For a complete setup, M22 x 10AN fittings and black braided 10AN hose are recommended.
