The Killer B Motorsport Ultimate Oil Pickup is engineered to resolve critical weaknesses in the OEM oil pickup system for the Subaru FA20 engine found in the BRZ, FR-S, and Toyota 86. The factory design is prone to issues with its oil pickup screen, which can be brittle and easily damaged, and a pinch bend in the tube that restricts oil flow. This aftermarket solution from Killer B Motorsport features a redesigned oil pickup tube constructed from 4130 high-strength alloy steel. It boasts a larger inside diameter and a thicker wall for enhanced flow capacity and durability. Crucially, the tube has a straight design with no bends, ensuring an unobstructed path for oil lubrication. The screen area has been increased by over 31%, which further reduces restriction and the stress on the screen material. Each unit is meticulously hand TIG-welded for superior weld penetration and quality. Installation hardware is included with this oil pickup tube. It is proudly made in the USA and has undergone pressure testing up to 150psi on the screen face without issues.
