Description

The Melling 10552ST is a high-volume, high-pressure oil pump designed for Small Block Chevy engines (283-400). It features Melling's patented Shark Tooth helical asymmetrical gears, which provide a smoother oil flow with reduced pulsing compared to traditional gear pumps. This design also offers a significant reduction in pressure ripple and torque ripple in the pump drive, benefiting distributor and camshaft operation.

This oil pump offers a 10% increase in volume over stock and includes springs for both lower and higher oil pressure settings. The design also incorporates grooves to reduce cavitation effects in high RPM applications. It utilizes a 3/4-inch bolt-on pickup tube.
