The AMS Performance 2020+ R35 GTR OMEGA 14 Turbo Kit represents a significant advancement over traditional stock-location turbo upgrades for the Nissan GT-R. Historically, these upgrades involved machining OEM turbofolds and housings, which often led to limitations in boost control and potential boost creep, sometimes necessitating the use of high-octane race fuel. AMS recognized these shortcomings and engineered the OMEGA 14 kit to overcome them. This kit features AMS's proprietary Snailworks© Engineering Team's design, which includes custom-cast two-piece manifolds and turbine housings. This integrated approach allows for optimization of previously problematic OEM castings, improving boost control and eliminating excessive boost creep. By casting their own components, AMS also bypasses the costs and delays associated with OEM core charges and machining services. The OMEGA 14 Turbo Kit is designed for direct bolt-in installation, aiming to avoid extensive modifications to the vehicle. It is compatible with all USDM, JDM, Gulf, and European models, including both Left-Hand Drive (LHD) and Right-Hand Drive (RHD) configurations. However, it's important to note that for 2020+ model year vehicles, owners will reuse their existing OEM exhaust manifolds, and the kit is not compatible with certain OEM components.
