The one-piece caliper construction, CNC machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensures lightweight strength and corrosion resistance, while aluminum pistons offer superior heat management. Carbon steel caliper brackets facilitate a direct bolt-up to OEM locations, simplifying installation. The Supercomp kit features a floating two-piece rotor design where the outer section can shift slightly for better self-centering, reducing brake drag and enhancing performance through more consistent pad application. Customers can select between slotted rotors, recommended for track use due to their improved gas and debris expulsion and reduced noise, or cross-drilled rotors, which run cooler and are suggested for daily driven vehicles. Standard SC5 Street Pads, made from NAOC Ceramic, provide optimal braking for street and occasional track conditions, offering reduced dust (by 50% or more), noise, and rotor wear, with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F - 1022°F. DOT-compliant stainless steel braided brake lines are included to eliminate line expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Ksport big brake kits are built to order, with production and delivery typically taking 4-6 weeks. Fitment is confirmed for various Volkswagen Passat models from 2006-2011, including Base and CC trims.
