Orthotropic Laminate Sheet, Carbon-Reinforced Epoxy

The DragonPlate EconomyPlate™ solid carbon fiber sheet provides a robust material solution for applications where optimized material properties of a quasi-isotropic lay-up are not essential. This EconomyPlate™ sheet is constructed from orthotropic laminates, featuring a twill weave oriented at 0°/90°, while ensuring a symmetrical and balanced laminate structure. Composed entirely of a durable and rigid carbon-reinforced epoxy matrix, this sheet offers excellent strength and stiffness. Available in a 24" x 24" size with a 2mm thickness, it provides a versatile material for fabrication. The sheet can be ordered with a twill high gloss, matte, or textured finish on one side, paired with a textured finish on the other, which creates an ideal bonding surface. Key specifications include a standard fiber modulus of 33 Msi, a maximum operating temperature of 140°F, and an approximate density of 0.052 lb/in³. CNC machining services are also available for this product, allowing for precise customization to meet specific project requirements.
