Description

The Proforged 104-10097-PRFGD is an outer tie rod end designed for 1988-2002 Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac C/K series trucks and SUVs. These steering components are laboratory-tested to ensure increased longevity and durability compared to standard aftermarket alternatives, making them a suitable replacement for worn steering linkage that can cause loose handling or poor vehicle tracking. The kit includes the necessary installation hardware, such as a castle nut, cotter pin, and grease, for a complete replacement. As with all steering component installations, professional installation is recommended to ensure proper alignment and safety. After installing the outer tie rod stud into the tapered knuckle hole, the connection should be torqued to 80 ft/lbs to meet factory safety specifications.
