The Sonnax 76833 Transmission Overdrive Servo Pin is engineered to address common failure points in AOD transmissions, specifically those related to servo-pin-to-case-bore clearance. Excessive clearance in this area can lead to the leakage of release oil, which is critical for the forward clutch. This loss of oil pressure can not only reduce forward clutch effectiveness but also cause the overdrive band to drag in lower gears, resulting in shifting concerns and potential component failure. This seal effectively eliminates oil circuit leaks, restoring proper hydraulic pressure for the forward clutch and overdrive band. The kit also includes a retaining clip to secure the piston to the pin, ensuring a complete and reliable repair. Symptoms of the problem this pin addresses include 3-4 concerns, 4-3 concerns, OD band failure, and forward clutch failure. The Sonnax 76833 overdrive servo pin is designed for universal fitment within AOD and AODE transmissions and comes with the pin, an O-ring, and a retaining clip.
