Overtake BB500 Turbo Kit

The GrimmSpeed Overtake BB500 Turbo Kit is a direct, stock-location bolt-on turbocharger engineered for 2004-2021 Subaru STi and 2002-2014 Subaru WRX models. The BB500 utilizes a dual ceramic ball bearing center housing rotating assembly, combined with slick aero wheel designs, to achieve superior spool results. In testing, it can hit 20 PSI before 4100 RPM, out-spooling other turbos by up to 150 RPM. The Overtake BB500 features a 55lb compressor wheel and a 60mm turbine wheel, allowing the engine to breathe more effectively at high RPMs. This design philosophy aims to keep the turbo in its powerband after gear shifts and to hold substantially more power than the stock turbo all the way to redline. When installed on GrimmSpeed's 2020 STi shop car, it produced 488WHP and 515WTQ, maintaining over 400WTQ from 4000 RPM and over 400WHP from 4250 RPM to redline. Testing has shown gains of 129 HP and 109 ft-lbs of torque over a tuned stock STI turbo, with even greater gains expected with additional modifications such as cams and intake manifolds.
