Description

The Walker Products 250-54080 oxygen sensor determines the oxygen content of the exhaust gas, providing crucial data for monitoring the air-fuel ratio. Located in the exhaust system, it produces a voltage proportional to the amount of oxygen, with less than 150 mV indicating a lean mixture and greater than 750 mV indicating a rich mixture. This information is used to control the air-fuel mixture through injectors and carburetors, ensuring the engine operates close to ideal stoichiometric ratios.
