OXYGEN SENSOR

The Walker Products 350-34212 is a vehicle-specific oxygen sensor designed to measure combustion efficiency based on the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas. Engineered as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) replacement, this sensor provides the necessary diagnostic system feedback required by the ECU. A failing oxygen sensor can lead to poor engine performance, increased fuel consumption, higher emissions, and illumination of the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL).

This heated oxygen sensor features a threaded mounting type with an M18 thread size and an 18.0mm thread diameter. It has a square female connector and a 20.0 gauge wire with four wires. The electrodes are coated with a gas-permeable platinum layer to prevent contamination and erosion from combustion residue. This coating helps maintain the electrode surfaces and ensures accurate measurement of oxygen levels for fine-tuning the air-fuel mixture, which improves fuel economy and reduces pollutants. The sensor has an overall length of 445.0mm. It is important to check the sensor, wiring harness, and connector for any physical damage, as this can shorten its operational life.
