The Denso SEN ASSY-OXYGEN is a critical component for maintaining optimal engine performance and emissions control. As an oxygen sensor, it acts as the communication hub between your car's exhaust system and its engine management computer. By continuously monitoring oxygen levels in the exhaust gases and transmitting this data as voltage signals, it allows the ECU to precisely adjust the air-fuel mixture for efficient combustion. This sensor is designed with a double laser-welded stainless steel body, making it fully submersible and resistant to contamination for enhanced durability and a long service life. It also features a fast-acting heater to optimize its operational performance and coated threads for easier installation. The primary function is to detect the precise air-fuel ratio, ensuring your engine runs smoothly and efficiently. A malfunctioning oxygen sensor can lead to several issues, including poor fuel economy, increased emissions that may cause failed tests, potential catalytic converter damage, and reduced engine performance with rough idling. This oxygen sensor is compatible with various Subaru models, including Exiga, Forester, Impreza, Legacy, and XV.
