The Procharger 1GN212-SCI is an intercooled supercharger system specifically engineered for 2004 Pontiac GTO models equipped with the LS1 engine. By utilizing a patented self-contained P-1SC-1 head unit and a high-efficiency air-to-air intercooler, the system delivers a 50-55% gain in horsepower on stock engines while maintaining low charge air temperatures for improved engine longevity. This complete system includes all necessary components, such as fuel injectors and a handheld programmer for tuning. It features a dedicated 8-rib drive system with an automatic belt tensioner. Note that this specific system requires the use of ATI balancer p/n 918853 for proper operation. Unlike some alternative forced induction setups, this design does not require modifying the oil pan or replacing the engine intake. Installation and compatibility notes: This system is specifically designed for 2004 LS1-powered GTOs. Performance results are based on 7 psi of boost on stock engines using pump gas. For modified engines, higher boost levels are possible, though separate tuner kits are available for those configurations. The 1,300 HP race intercooler upgrade is available for high-performance builds but requires modifications to the front bumper for clearance. Please verify all hardware requirements, including the specified ATI balancer, before beginning installation.
