P08 Air Filter

The Sprint Filter P08 air filter represents a significant advancement in air filtration technology, utilizing a revolutionary P08 polyester membrane constructed from woven synthetic yarns. Unlike conventional cotton gauze or oiled foam filters, this advanced material offers superior filtration with a 5-micron rating. The unique construction provides a filtering surface area that appears double that of many competitors, achieved through an 8mm pleat step (compared to the standard 10/12mm) and a 20mm pleat height (against a standard 15mm). This design ensures a greater filtering surface area and maintains constant filtration performance regardless of engine RPM. Cleaning the Sprint Filter P08 is exceptionally fast and straightforward. It can be cleaned simply by using compressed air in the opposite direction of air intake to dislodge most trapped dust. This eliminates the need for washing and drying, allowing for immediate refitting. If oil or grease residue is present, the P08 filter is resistant to most degreasing agents and can be safely cleaned and dried with compressed air for immediate reinstallation. This P08 air filter is designed for both stock and race motorcycles. For stock bikes, it serves as a direct replacement for the original paper filter without requiring ECU remapping, offering potential fuel savings and a remarkable 2.5 hp gain as demonstrated on a stock Honda CBR 1000 RR. For race applications, the P08 filter has been developed with top SBK teams and has proven to lean the air-fuel mixture by 1-5% while significantly reducing load losses in the airbox compared to multi-layer cotton or sponge filters. This performance advantage becomes more pronounced at higher air inlet speeds. This specific air filter, model PM153S, is designed for the Kawasaki H2 and H2 SX models from 2015 onwards. It is intended as a direct replacement for the OE Kawasaki 11013-0747 filter and is also cross-referenced with BMC FM897/04, DNA DNA P-K10S15-H2, and K&N KA-9915.
