The Bosch P7100 Mack Rack Plug (part number 1413462095) is a performance upgrade designed to increase the fuel rack travel on P7100 injection pumps found in 1994-1998 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 models with the 5.9L 12 Valve Cummins engine. It extends the stock rack travel from 19mm to 21mm, providing increased fueling capacity necessary for more aggressive engine builds. This component is specifically for those looking to enhance performance and support upgrades such as larger injectors or turbos. It is not a direct replacement for stock-specification parts. To fully leverage the benefit of the increased 2mm rack travel, modifications to the AFC (Adjustable Fuel Control) are required. Without these modifications, the potential fueling gains will not be fully realized. Installation of this rack plug requires pump removal unless the timing cover is modified to provide clearance. Professional installation is recommended. It is important to note that if your vehicle is equipped with a 215 pump, this plug may retard injection timing by up to 3 degrees at 21mm of rack travel. Buyers should verify their pump type is P7100 and consider this timing adjustment in their build plans. A billet version of this rack plug is also available for applications demanding enhanced material strength.
