P72 OBD1 VTEC ECU

The Hondata P72 ECU is a prepared OBD1 VTEC engine control unit specifically designed to work with the Hondata S300 system. This ECU is capable of operating any Honda/Acura D, B, F, or H series engine, including both VTEC and non-VTEC configurations. It comes fully socketed and ready for plug-and-play installation of the Hondata S300 module, which is sold separately. HA Motorsports fully rebuilds these ECUs in-house, ensuring quality control throughout the process. Each unit features new capacitors for long-term reliability, and the exterior casing is restored using a glass bead blasting process, complete with new clear plexiglass lids and stainless-steel screws. The P72 variant offers distinct advantages over the P28, including a retained knock sensor circuit for enhanced tuning and the ability to counter detonation, as well as full IAB (Intake Air Bypass) functionality. For expanded capabilities, this P72 ECU can be optioned with PWM boost control circuitry, allowing for direct control of an electronic boost control solenoid through the S300 software. This feature is ideal for users planning forced induction setups. The ECU is designed for plug-and-play installation in 1992-1995 Civic and 1992-1995 Integra models (OBD1). For other vehicle applications, ECU jumper harnesses are available to ensure compatibility with different vehicle harnesses. Note that this ECU requires a separate Hondata S300 system to function and cannot be used on its own.
