The PAC-1218 Drop-In Beehive Valve Spring Kit from PAC Racing is engineered for enhanced performance in OE LS cylinder heads. This kit provides a full set of 16 ovate beehive springs, designed to handle up to .600" of valve lift. They are a direct fit, utilizing all OE hardware such as seats, retainers, and locks, ensuring a straightforward installation without modification. These springs are built with increased loads, rates, and frequencies, making them suitable for more aggressive camshaft profiles. The specifications include an outside diameter of 1.290 inches, an install height of 1.800 inches with a load of 130 lbs, and an open load of 318 lbs at 1.175 inches open height. The spring rate is 313 lbs/in, and they have a coil bind height of 1.140 inches. Each spring weighs approximately 62 grams. The PAC-1218 kit is specifically designed for Gen III/IV LS engines, including popular applications like LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LQ4, and LQ9, covering displacements from 4.8L to 6.2L. This upgrade is ideal for enthusiasts looking to push the performance envelope of their LS-powered vehicles, whether for street driving or occasional track use.
