The BMC FB01118 is a performance panel air filter engineered as a direct replacement for your vehicle's OEM air filter, fitting within the original airbox. Constructed from highly performing materials, it offers increased airflow while maintaining superior filtration efficiency, capturing impurities as small as 7 microns compared to the OEM's 10 microns. Its "Full Moulding" system ensures a durable, single-piece construction without welded joints, and the long-life, durable rubber provides optimal adhesion to various airbox shapes. The filter media consists of multi-layered cotton gauze, impregnated with low-viscosity oil and protected by an epoxy-coated alloy mesh to shield against fuel fumes and oxidation. An engine air filter is crucial for allowing clean air into the combustion chamber, preventing contaminants from entering the engine, which in turn optimizes performance, fuel efficiency, and reduces emissions. This specific BMC air filter is designed for the BMW G80 M3, M3 Competition, G82 M4, and M4 Competition models, all equipped with the S58 3.0L engine.
