The Rostra BackZone Truck parking assistance system (250-1903-BZTRK) enhances parking safety for light-duty trucks. Utilizing advanced ultrasonic detection, the system provides consistent and reliable obstacle alerts, minimizing false alarms. This technology ensures accurate detection of targets regardless of their density. The kit includes four flush-mount ultrasonic sensors with paintable bezels, allowing for a factory-matched aesthetic. For steel bumpers, four rubber insulator sensor sleeves are provided. The system features a compact dashboard or visor-mounted display for clear visual feedback, complemented by a standalone buzzer for audible warnings. The 25-foot sensor-to-control module extension harness is designed to be weather-proof and eliminates common points of failure found in standard extensions, specifically engineered for truck applications. Installation is facilitated by included components such as a drilling template, two sizes of hole saws (21.5 mm and 24.5 mm), and four angled bezels (6-degree and 12-degree) to accommodate various bumper angles. The package also contains stainless steel mounting hardware, under-bumper mounts, and 3M VHB tape for securing the control module and display. Additionally, a 19-foot module-to-display extension harness and quick splice connectors are provided for power and ground connections.
