The CTS Turbo Passat CC Catch Can Kit offers a superior solution for managing oil vapors in the intake system of your Passat or Passat CC featuring a 2.0 TSI engine. Direct-injection engines are particularly susceptible to performance degradation, reduced fuel economy, and potential damage to intake components like "flaps" due to oil deposits. This kit directly addresses this by preventing oil vapors from reaching the intake manifold and fouling the valves. It utilizes -10 AN Black-Series braided hoses for durability and reliable flow. The package is a complete bolt-on solution, ensuring a straightforward installation process. For those installing with a CTS Turbo engine mount, the additional mounting bracket (CTS-HW-426) must be ordered separately. During winter months, users must exercise caution as the liquid collected in the catch can may freeze, potentially causing damage to the engine. It is advised to monitor the liquid level closely or consider removing the catch can during periods of sub-freezing temperatures.
