The Billet 3062P-B is a passenger-side oil separator meticulously engineered to prevent oil blow-by, thereby maintaining optimal engine performance and reducing the likelihood of costly repairs. This component effectively captures oil vapors from the crankcase ventilation system before they can enter the intake tract, helping to keep intake components clean and ensuring consistent fuel quality. Constructed from solid billet aluminum, this oil separator offers enhanced durability and strength. It features a user-friendly design with a knurled tank base for simple removal and draining, complemented by an O-ring seal to prevent any potential leaks. The multi-stage filtration system is at the heart of its performance, utilizing a fine mesh stainless steel screen to trap the smallest oil vapors. Once heavy enough, these vapors fall through the screen and are further processed by a 1/2-inch thick, 1/16-inch aluminum honeycomb filter, causing them to grow larger and eventually settle in the bottom of the 3 oz capacity tank. By the time the oil becomes too heavy to be carried forward, it is effectively removed from the air passing into the intake. Installation of the J&L 3.0 Oil Separator is straightforward, requiring no drilling and typically taking around 30 minutes with light to moderate mechanical skill.
