Overview

The 1.6T engine's PCV system vents excess gases, which are a mixture of gas, oil, and crud. This kit filters the PCV line, trapping these vapors in a can.

It is CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminum and features a 40-micron filter to slow and filter crankcase vapors. The diffuser houses stainless steel filtering media for air/oil separation. The kit includes all components for a bolt-on installation and is mounted to the front radiator support with a custom bracket specific to the Elantra N-Line.

The SXTH Element Engineering Single Catch Can kit provides a solution for maintaining a clean intake tract by filtering and trapping blow-by gases. The 1.6T engine utilizes a Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system to relieve internal pressure. Modern engines typically recirculate these gases back into the engine for combustion. However, these gases contain a mixture of fuel, oil, and other contaminants that can lead to buildup within the intake system. This kit directly addresses this by filtering the PCV line, effectively trapping these harmful vapors in a dedicated can. The catch can itself is meticulously designed, CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminum. It incorporates a 40-micron filter to slow down and capture crankcase vapors. Inside, a diffuser assembly with stainless steel filtering media works to separate oil from the air before it re-enters the intake.
