The VIS Racing PENTA Style Carbon Fiber Hood is engineered specifically for the 2005-2013 Chevrolet Corvette 2-door models. This hood is crafted from Grade-A carbon fiber material, renowned for its strength and light weight. VIS Racing employs a robust two-part construction design, starting with a top layer of carbon fiber bonded with high-grade epoxy resin. This is then finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective polyurethane coating, ensuring a durable high-gloss finish that resists yellowing. The underside features a one-piece, smooth shell that is fused to the top layer, significantly enhancing the product’s structural integrity. The edges are meticulously smoothed by hand to provide a superior quality finish all around. VIS Racing has also implemented the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.) in their manufacturing, which uses a single-mold vacuum to produce parts that are 10-20% lighter and more durable than previous methods. All VIS Carbon Fiber Hoods and Trunks come with a VIS badge of authenticity to verify genuine product. Due to the intended use and nature of these performance parts, hood pins are required for installation. This product is intended for off-road use only, unless local and state laws permit otherwise.
