Description

The 3M 8979 Performance Plus Outdoor Duct Tape is a top-of-the-line tape designed for excellent performance both indoors and outdoors. Its unique construction allows for both permanent and temporary applications, offering clean removal with little to no adhesive residue from most opaque surfaces for up to one year in indoor applications. This duct tape is also UV resistant for up to six months outdoors.

The tape is hand tearable, conformable, abrasion resistant, and moisture resistant, with a thickness of 12.6 mil. It features a rubber adhesive that bonds well to many surfaces with excellent initial stick. The backing consists of a polyethylene film over a cloth scrim.

This duct tape can be used in temperatures up to 200°F. The 3-inch rolls are not individually wrapped, while the 2-inch rolls are. It is available in Nuclear Grade (#8979N) for critical containment applications.
