The 3M™ Perfect-It™ Foam Compounding Pad is engineered for superior performance in paint refinishing. As one of 3M's highest-performing foam compounding pads, it excels at refining P1200 or finer sand scratches, as well as performing slow-speed polishing and denibbing. This pad is available in both double-sided and single-sided configurations, offering versatility for different tools and workflows. The double-sided pads feature a center plate for added durability and work with 3M's Quick Connect adaptor system, which has 5/8-inch threads for easy attachment to standard rotary polishers. The single-sided pads utilize the 3M™ Hookit™ hook-and-loop system for quick and secure attachment and removal, maximizing shop time during multi-step processes. Part of the comprehensive 3M™ Perfect-It™ Paint Finishing System, these pads are designed to work in conjunction with 3M™ rubbing compounds to achieve showroom-grade finishes. They are suitable for various applications including working with cured, hard, or medium finish paint, and are ideal for scratch removal and refinement, even in confined spaces. The pads are designed for use with rotary and random orbital tools and have a maximum speed rating of 4500 rpm.
