The Ford Performance M-6007-X2302E is a 302 cubic inch, 340 horsepower BOSS crate engine featuring Ford Performance's "X2" cylinder head and the "E" Camshaft. It boasts a nominal 9.0:1 compression ratio. Key internal components include forged pistons, forged steel connecting rods, and a forged steel crankshaft. The engine utilizes a BOSS 4-bolt main block, a hydraulic roller camshaft (.498" lift, 220 degrees duration at .050"), a double roller timing chain set, Ford Performance aluminum "X2" cylinder heads, and roller rocker arms. A fuel pump eccentric is installed, enabling the use of a mechanical fuel pump. This engine is sold with a flywheel that works for most 157-tooth manual transmission applications; other transmissions may require a different neutral balance flywheel. Installation notes indicate that depending on the application, a different timing cover, oil pan, and pickup may be required. The engine features a rear sump oil pan, a standard rotation timing cover, and non-EFI valve covers. The damper may require a spacer for pulley alignment.
