The BMC Performance Air Filter is a replacement air filter designed for the BMW M5 (E60) and M6 (E63) with the S85 engine. It is constructed from multi-layered cotton gauze that is pre-oiled and can be cleaned and regenerated. This filter allows for increased airflow and more efficient filtration compared to OEM filters, capturing impurities as small as 7 microns. The filter utilizes a Full Moulding system for durability and features a rubber construction for optimal adhesion to airboxes.

The BMC Performance Air Filter (Part No. FB447/01) is engineered to be a direct replacement for your stock air filter in the BMW M5 (E60) and M6 (E63) models equipped with the S85 5.0L V10 engine (years 2004-2010 for E60/E61 M5 and 2005-2010 for E63/E64 M6). This twin-kit filter is designed to significantly increase airflow while maintaining a high level of filtration, capturing particles down to 7 microns, which is finer than OEM filters. Constructed using BMC's 'Full Moulding' system, this filter features a single-piece construction with no welded joints, enhancing its durability. The multi-layered cotton gauze is pre-oiled with a low-viscosity oil and protected by an epoxy-coated alloy mesh, safeguarding against petrol fumes and oxidation from air humidity. The durable rubber used in its construction ensures optimal adhesion to the vehicle's specific airbox shape. This air filter is washable and can be regenerated using a BMC regeneration kit, offering a sustainable and long-term performance solution.
