The ELEVATE Volvo V60 T5 Air Intake is meticulously engineered and constructed to deliver maximum power and torque gains for the T5 engine, usable with or without the ELEVATE Turbo Intake Pipe. By enhancing both flow and capacity compared to the original air box, this intake system provides a claimed power increase of over +7whp and +12ftlb of torque at the wheels, with greater gains realized on higher-output engines. A removable, washable, water-repellent cover protects the filter while allowing unrestricted airflow and extending cleaning intervals. The precision-bent 3.5-inch diameter aluminum tubing features a durable, heat-reflective bright silver powder-coated finish. Unlike 3-inch piping, the 3.5-inch diameter was found to produce superior power. The pipe includes a machined pin for secure attachment to a factory mounting point on the lower inlet manifold, and the connection to the MAF sensor is made with a silicone hose available in black, blue, or red. This design has been rigorously tested in extreme conditions (over 110°F) for over three years to confirm adequate ECU cooling. The installation process is straightforward for DIYers with basic automotive skills and tools, with all necessary premium hardware and detailed instructions included. It's important to note that this and other Elevate products may not be legal for all road vehicles; users should verify compliance with local laws.
