The K&N 69-3540TS is a high-performance air intake system crafted with a polished aluminum tube, designed to deliver a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. This system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and intake housing, providing a less restrictive path for airflow and increasing the volume of cool, oxygen-rich air entering the engine. The K&N high-flow reusable air filter features 4 layers of pleated, breathable cotton, treated with K&N's red filter oil to capture dirt and dust particles while allowing clean air to flow freely. This filter requires cleaning only every 100,000 miles under normal highway conditions. Dyno testing confirms the performance gains achieved with this intake system. Beyond increased power, the K&N system also enhances the engine's sound, producing a more aggressive growl during acceleration that quiets down at cruising speeds. For towing, it improves acceleration and uphill performance by enhancing throttle response. The system is designed to be installed easily, typically within 60 minutes with basic hand tools, and includes detailed step-by-step instructions and all necessary parts.
