Performance Beehive Valve Springs

The Howards Cams 98115-1 are ovate inverted conical valve springs designed to enhance valvetrain stability through increased harmonic resistance. This unique inverted conical design allows for greater stability while requiring less spring pressure compared to traditional designs. These springs have a 1.280-inch outer diameter and a 1.150-inch coil bind height. They provide 110 lbs. of closed pressure at 1.800 inches and 275 lbs. of open pressure at 1.200 inches, with a spring rate of 236 lbs./in. The maximum recommended valve lift for these springs is 0.600 inches. They are intended for performance hydraulic and mild mechanical flat tappet applications. Compatibility includes GM Gen III (LS1/2/6) engines, Chevrolet Small Block Engines, and Chrysler 5.7L engines. Tests have indicated potential for increased horsepower, higher RPM capability, and longer life expectancy with this design.
