Overview

The RaceLogic Performance Box Touch is a touch screen performance meter, lap timer, and data logger. It measures speed, lap and split times, acceleration, deceleration, and more. All parameters are logged to an SD card ten times per second for detailed analysis using provided software.

It integrates a high-performance 25 Hz GNSS engine and antenna, with an option for an external antenna, to accurately measure speed, lap times, split times, delta-T, acceleration, deceleration, and distance. All collected data is logged to an SD card at ten times per second, allowing for in-depth analysis via the included VBOX Test Suite or Circuit Tools software. The device features a responsive 4.3" TFT touchscreen that is highly visible in daylight, and high-brightness LEDs provide instant feedback during test runs. Pre-configured tests are available for common performance metrics like acceleration and deceleration, with a slope correction mode to account for gradient variations. The device can function as a standalone speedometer or lap timer, displaying average and maximum speeds, and predictive lap times. The Performance Box Touch is available in two versions: Option 1 (RLPBT-V2) includes the unit, cigar plug USB adapter, charging cable, 8 GB SDHC memory card, and a suction cup windscreen mount. Option 2 (RLPBT/B) includes all items from Option 1 plus a clip-on battery, an external antenna with a 2m cable, and a plastic carry case. The battery option requires ground shipping. This device is also relevant for ADAS Testing applications, with specific CAN output and parameter definitions available for VBOX 4 and VBOX 3i FW v3.0 units.
