The Kent Cams H180 'Sports Torque' camshaft is engineered as a straightforward performance upgrade for the Rover V8 engine, suitable for both Gems and Mems (Thor) ignition systems. With a duration of 262 degrees and a valve lift of 11.2mm, the H180 is designed to significantly improve low-end torque and can increase peak power by up to 22bhp. It retains the use of OE valve springs and maintains stable idle characteristics, making it suitable for everyday use in manual or automatic transmission vehicles, whether on or off-road. This camshaft is produced on an improved 'Chilled Iron' cam blank, offering superior reliability compared to original production cams. It is recommended to replace hydraulic lifters when installing a new camshaft and to use an assembly lubricant like Millers Assembly oil.
