The Hawk Performance HB227Z.630 rear brake pads utilize a Performance Ceramic compound, bringing motorsports-derived technology to your daily driver. The benefits of these ceramic pads include a stable friction output, reduced brake fade in hot conditions due to their slower heat absorption, and a higher coefficient of friction that shortens stopping distances. Additionally, their lower metal content drastically reduces brake dust and are gentle on rotors, extending both pad and rotor life. It is important to note that all Hawk Performance compounds are not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors; these pads are designed exclusively for use with Iron/Metal rotors. Proper installation and bedding-in procedures, as outlined by Hawk Performance and available on ECS Tuning's site, are crucial for maximizing performance and ensuring longevity.
