Overview

The PHP Hydra chip is a PCM performance tuner designed for 1994½–2003 7.3L Power Stroke diesel engines. It features 17 programmable positions and includes a switch for in-cab, on-the-fly tuning adjustments. Users gain access to a comprehensive calibration library and HydraFlash software for customized vehicle performance management.

This chip offers 17 total memory slots, providing 15 customizable tuning presets along with built-in Module Bypass and No-Start functionalities. The package includes the chip, a digital switch with a two-digit removable display for easy on-the-fly adjustments, a ribbon cable, and a USB cable. Utilizing the free HydraFlash software, compatible with Windows and Mac, users can program and reprogram the chip with Power Hungry's extensive library of calibrations. The software allows for the programming of any or all positions, with a single position taking less than 20 seconds to program and verify. The Hydra Chip is fully compatible with PATS-equipped vehicles and can read the factory PCM calibration directly through the chip. The product is proudly made in America, with components sourced from various US states and assembled in Georgia. It is important to note that the Module Bypass [00] and No Start [nS] functions require the vehicle to be shut off and the key cycled to engage or disengage, unlike the other switch-on-the-fly presets. Additionally, these Hydra Chips do not come pre-programmed; the end-user or installer must select the appropriate tunes using the HydraFlash software. Instructions are available at HydraHelp.com.
