The Suncoast 47RE transmission represents a significant upgrade for 47RE transmissions, specifically engineered for vehicles used for heavy towing, hauling, or those with extensive modifications. This Category 3 transmission is rated to handle up to 600 horsepower, providing enhanced durability and performance over stock units. This comprehensive upgrade includes a variety of billet components, such as the accumulator piston, intermediate servo, custom ratio band lever, band strut, and band anchor. The transmission also features a Pro-Series carbon graphite band for improved friction performance. Further enhancements include a custom calibrated valve body and pump, a high-flow filter, new internal wear components like bushings and bearings, and a billet triple-disc torque converter with carbon graphite clutch material. The billet one-piece input shaft, made from 300 maraging steel, is designed to withstand higher torque and stress loads. New overdrive and lockup solenoids, an upgraded governor solenoid, and a billet SFI certified flexplate are also included. The valve body and pump are custom-calibrated to customer needs, whether for towing, street performance, or track use, allowing for more optimal line pressure and increased volume.
