Description

The Maintec V2 downpipe from Shark Racing is engineered for the 2021 and newer Elantra N models equipped with the 2.0 turbo engine. This is a direct bolt-on component that replaces the stock pipe, offering an estimated power increase of 10-20 horsepower. Customers can choose between a decatted version or one that includes a Shark Racing 200-cell race catalytic converter. The downpipe is available in three outlet sizes: 2.5 inch, 2.75 inch, and 3.0 inch, with incremental price adjustments for the larger sizes. An optional lower flex pipe is also available for an additional cost. Installation may require new gasket, studs, and nuts, as the original studs can be prone to breaking during removal. The product page notes that the catted downpipe may trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL), while the decatted version definitely will; a tune is required to eliminate any CELs. Buyers should ensure their vehicle's downpipe flange matches the 4-bolt configuration shown in the product images.
