The K&N HP-2004 Performance Gold Oil Filter is engineered to provide exceptional filtration and durability for your engine's oil system. Its construction includes strong sidewall canisters, offering enhanced burst strength to withstand higher operating pressures. A key feature for maintenance is the 1-inch welded nut integrated into the top of the canister, allowing for straightforward removal using a standard wrench. This oil filter utilizes resin-impregnated cellulose filter media, a material chosen for its ability to facilitate higher flow rates while simultaneously delivering outstanding filtration performance. The media is capable of trapping contaminants as small as 10 microns, thereby helping to shield your engine from harmful particles. Further enhancing its functionality, the HP-2004 includes a pressure relief valve to ensure proper oil flow even under adverse conditions, and the canister color is white. While it does not include a drain plug gasket, the overall design prioritizes ease of installation and reliable performance. The drilled hole on the nut also provides a provision for safety wire attachment, adding an extra layer of security in demanding applications.
