The IE Performance Intake System is an aftermarket air intake designed for the VW Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport 2.0T models.

This system replaces the factory airbox to improve airflow and engine sound. The intake includes a 5" pleated cotton filter and a velocity stack designed to reduce air turbulence.

The IE Performance Intake System is engineered to enhance the performance and auditory experience of the VW Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport equipped with the 2.0T EA888.3 engine. This system replaces the restrictive factory airbox with a motorsport-inspired design. IE's engineers utilized digital modeling and 3D scans of the engine bay to maximize available space, resulting in a full-width ram air inlet and a 5" pleated cotton filter. The integrated velocity stack promotes smoother airflow to the turbocharger, reducing drag and turbulence. The aluminum heatshield is finished in a black powder coat and spans the entire front clip to shield the intake from hot engine bay air while channeling cool, high-pressure air directly to the turbo. Installation is designed to be straightforward, with an estimated time of around 1 hour, and utilizes factory-style mounts for a hassle-free fit without permanent modifications. While this intake significantly improves airflow, IE recommends upgrading to their separate IE Turbo Inlet Pipe for maximum performance gains, especially when paired with an ECU tune. The intake system is compatible with either the stock turbo inlet or the IE cast turbo inlet pipe. The IE Performance Intake System fits the Volkswagen Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport models from 2020-2022 with the 2.0T EA888.3 engine, as well as 2018+ models with the 2.0T Gen 3 engine (both 4Motion and FWD).
