The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler is engineered as a direct-fit upgrade for the 2013-2018 Ford Focus ST, enhancing both performance and cooling efficiency. Its substantial 4.3-inch thick core represents a 128% increase in size over the stock unit, coupled with a 32% boost in external fin surface area. This design is optimized for maximum airflow, leading to a significant drop in intercooler outlet temperatures by 34°F. Installation is straightforward, requiring no modification to the front bumper and retaining the stock fog lights. The intercooler is rated to support up to 550 whp and provides measurable power gains, with the manufacturer documenting an increase of 5 horsepower and 7 ft-lbs of torque. It also features CNC-machined ribbed inlets and outlets for secure coupler connections and includes provisions for both US and European MAP sensors. It is important to note that due to space constraints, this intercooler will not fit with active splitters. However, the factory shrouding beneath the front grille can be retained. The package includes all necessary parts for installation, which is rated at a medium difficulty level.
