This kit includes mandrel-bent aluminum piping and 5-layer silicone couplers for improved airflow.

The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler Kit is engineered to replace the stock intercooling system in your 2015+ Volkswagen Golf TSI/GTI/R or Audi A3/S3. The factory intercooler, often sandwiched between the radiator and AC condenser, struggles to maintain optimal intake air temperatures, especially under increased boost. This Mishimoto kit addresses these limitations with a significantly larger, all-aluminum, TIG-welded bar-and-plate core, increasing volume by 89% and external fin surface area by 162% compared to the stock unit. Beyond the core, the kit includes a Performance Intercooler Pipe Kit, replacing the stock plastic piping and rubber couplers with mandrel-bent aluminum piping and durable 5-layer silicone couplers. This upgrade increases the air channels to 2.75 inches, resulting in a 30% improvement in flow. The cast aluminum end tanks are designed with integrated airflow diverters to ensure the entire core is utilized effectively. When installed, this intercooler system yielded maximum power gains of 14.5 whp and 13 wtq on stock tuning, while also reducing intercooler outlet temperatures by 23°F. The kit comes with CNC-machined aluminum mounting brackets for precise installation and is available with polished or wrinkle black piping finishes. As with all Mishimoto products, this intercooler kit is backed by a Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
