Performance Intercooler Kit

The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler Kit is designed to address the high charge air temperatures produced by the turbocharged 4-cylinder engine in the 2015+ Ford Mustang EcoBoost. Stock intercoolers can easily heat soak, leading to reduced performance. This kit features a highly efficient bar-and-plate intercooler engineered specifically for the Mustang EcoBoost, ensuring consistently low air intake temperatures during track use or aggressive street driving. The intercooler boasts a 58% increase in core size and a 25% increase in internal core volume, along with a 165% increase in external fin surface area, resulting in a 35°F reduction in intake air temperatures with minimal pressure loss. The cast end tanks are CFD tested for optimal airflow, and an in-tank air diverter on the hot side further enhances flow. This kit replaces the stock hot-side and cold-side intercooler pipes with mandrel-bent aluminum piping, featuring a 2.5" hot-side and 2.75" cold-side for smooth airflow. The precision CNC-machined BPV flange allows for the retention of the stock BPV. The intercooler is available in Sleek Silver or Stealth Black finishes, with piping available in polished silver or wrinkle black. The Mishimoto Intercooler Kit is rated for approximately 550 wheel horsepower. Installation is designed to be straightforward, typically taking under 2 hours without requiring front bumper removal.
