It features a 102% increase in core volume and a 97% increase in fin surface area compared to the stock unit. This kit also includes upgraded intercooler piping with mandrel-bent aluminum and 5-layer silicone couplers, offering a 30% increase in size for improved flow.

The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler Kit directly replaces the stock intercooler and piping on the 2016+ Honda Civic 1.5T and Si models, addressing heat issues common in the L15B7 engine. With a 102% increase in core volume and a 97% increase in fin surface area, it significantly reduces outlet air temperatures by up to 20°F on stock tuning, and up to 42°F with performance tuning. The kit also overhauls the stock intercooler piping, replacing plastic and rubber with durable, mandrel-bent aluminum and 5-layer, fiber-embedded silicone couplers. The piping size is increased by 30% (from 42 mm to 55 mm), and the bends are optimized for a more direct and improved airflow. This upgrade contributes to potential power gains of up to 4 whp and 8 ft-lbs of torque on stock tuning, with even greater gains possible when combined with performance tuning. The intercooler is available with a silver or black core, and the piping comes in wrinkle black or Rallye Red. Installation is a direct fit for the specified Honda Civic models. The kit includes the intercooler, intercooler pipes, silicone couplers, adapter kits, shrouding kit, and mounting hardware. As with all Mishimoto products, this kit is backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty. Note that 27 in-lbs (3N*M) is recommended for all t-bolt and constant tension t-bolt clamps, with a maximum operating torque rating of 35 in-lbs (4N*M).
