Clevite H-Series rod bearings, such as the CB663HN model, are engineered for high-performance and competition applications, including NASCAR racing. These bearings are characterized by their medium eccentricity, which helps manage housing bore deflection, and a high crush factor for a secure fit. The construction includes hardened steel backs and thin overlays for durability. Furthermore, they are produced without flash plating, which promotes better seating against the crankshaft. This design makes them suitable for all types of competition engines, particularly those operating at medium to high RPMs. They are not coated, ensuring direct metal-to-metal contact for optimal performance and seating.
