The Nippon Racing TSPS1-P5P is a performance piston kit designed for Honda Prelude Type-S JDM H22A engines. These floating pistons feature an anodized deck and teflon-impregnated skirts to reduce friction and improve heat transfer for enhanced durability.

The Nippon Racing TSPS1-P5P is a high-performance floating piston set engineered for the Honda Prelude Type-S JDM H22A engine. These pistons are manufactured using 2618 alloy and undergo a proprietary centrifugal spin-casting process followed by a 6-step heat treatment, resulting in high hardness and a low expansion rate. The skirts are teflon-impregnated to minimize friction, while the anodized deck improves heat load management, allowing for use in high-performance naturally aspirated setups or applications utilizing nitrous. Each kit includes full-floating 9310 case-hardened wrist pins, circlips, and NPR hybrid piston rings compatible with both Fiber Reinforced Metal (FRM) and iron cylinder liners. The domes are precision-matched within 0.1cc to ensure consistent compression across all cylinders. Fitment includes Honda Prelude H22A, H22A7, H22A4, and H23 motors. They are also compatible with F22 VTEC and non-VTEC engines, provided the block is over-bored to the appropriate size. For FRM cylinders, users must follow the OEM honing pattern; for iron liners, a 400-grit finish is recommended. Note that these components are intended for performance builds and require professional engine assembly. While they offer improved durability over OEM units, they are not recommended for turbocharging applications.
